A three days trek from the village of Askole will take you the base camp of Ogre and Latok Peaks. The base camp at 4200m is appealing green and plenty of fresh water, shapes like soccer. Latok peaks can also be accessible from Panmah Glacier. Latok-I (7145m), Latok-II (7108m), Latok-III (6940m), Latok-IV (6456m), and Latok-IV SE are (6450m). The other peaks near by are Baintha Brakk SE (6960m), Choktoi (6166m), Lakpila Brakk (5500m), Spaldang (5590m), and Biacherahi Towers (5900m). The shortest accessible route to Ogre peaks is from Biafo Glacier. The Ho Bluk situated on the right bank of the Biafo Glacier is said to be the highest grazing land. The environment here is pleasant. Latok peaks are both ice and rock climbing.
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport. Meet the team and transfer to hotel for rest and briefing.
Fly to Skardu (if weather permits). In case of cancellation, drive through the scenic Karakoram Highway to Chilas.
If in Skardu, enjoy a rest day or explore local bazaars. Otherwise, continue drive from Chilas to Skardu.
Finalize preparations and obtain climbing permits. Enjoy panoramic views of the Indus River valley.
Drive via rugged jeep track along the Braldu River. Reach Askoli, the last village before trekking begins.
Begin the trek with moderate hiking through rocky trails. Camp at Nemla amidst the wild Karakoram beauty.
Trek further through glacial terrain with stunning peaks around. Set up camp at Mango.
Final push to Gasherbrum Basecamp. Enjoy views of the Gasherbrum massif and settle into base.
Start acclimatization rotations and summit push. Spend these days climbing, resting, and preparing for the summit of Gasherbrum I.
Descend from basecamp and trek back to Askoli. Celebrate with porters and crew.
Return by jeep from Askoli to Skardu. Relax and enjoy a hot shower and proper meal.
Leave Skardu and retrace your way to Chilas via Karakoram Highway.
Complete the long drive back to Islamabad. Enjoy the change from mountains to city.
Relax in Islamabad or explore major attractions like Faisal Mosque and local markets.
Transfer to airport for your international flight. End of expedition with unforgettable memories.
