Chogolisa (765m) is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Karakoram It raally has two summits which are connected by along, almost horizontal ridge. Even though Chogolisais not a really difficult mountain, ts very rarely cimbad or even attempted.
After the first ascant of Chogolisa August 2.1975 (Chogolisa 1) 1958 (Chogolisa ) Hermann Buhl and Kurt Dismberger tied to climb Chogolisa, but they had to turn back due to bad weather. On the way down, Hermann Buhl stepped on a cornice and fell to his death. Ho has never been found.
The first ascent of the North-East summit (7654m) was made by a Japanese expedition in 1958. The South-West Summit (7665m) was first reached by the Austrians G. Ammerar and F. Pressi in 1975.
Arrive in Islamabad and transfer to the hotel. Prepare for the adventure ahead and attend a short briefing.
Fly to Skardu (weather permitting), or drive to Chilas if the flight is cancelled. Enjoy scenic views along the Karakoram Highway if driving.
Relax and explore Skardu town or continue your journey from Chilas to Skardu by road. Use the day for acclimatization.
Enjoy a rest day in Skardu for sightseeing and acclimatization. Visit local spots like Shigar Fort or Satpara Lake.
Travel by jeep along the Braldu River to the last village, Askole. Camp overnight and meet porters for the trek.
Begin your trek toward Paiyu through rocky terrain and scenic mountain views. Camp at Paiyu, the gateway to Baltoro Glacier.
Rest and acclimatize at Paiyu. Enjoy stunning views of Paiyu Peak and prepare for the glacier trek ahead.
Trek across the Baltoro Glacier to reach Urdukas. The campsite offers breathtaking views of granite peaks.
Begin the glacier trek from Paiyu to Urdukas. Enjoy close-up views of Trango Towers and Cathedral Peak.
Continue trekking on the Baltoro Glacier toward Goro. The route offers views of Masherbrum and other majestic peaks.
If weather or schedule requires, this day covers the same route as Day 10. Trek steadily across icy terrain to Goro camp.
Trek from Goro to the breathtaking Concordia. Enjoy panoramic views of four 8000m peaks, including K2.
Make a short, final approach to the K2 Base Camp area. Explore and take in the awe-inspiring scenery.
These days are reserved for climbing activities and summit attempts. Includes acclimatization, rest, and weather contingency days.
Optional rest or buffer day in case of delays during the expedition. Can also be used for packing or short walks.
Descend from base camp and begin return trek via the Gondogoro La route. Reach Shedcho and camp overnight.
Continue trekking through beautiful valleys to reach the village of Hushe. Enjoy the peaceful end to the mountain journey.
Drive from Hushe back to Skardu via Khaplu. Check in at hotel and relax after the long trek.
Fly back to Islamabad (weather permitting) or drive to Chilas if the flight is cancelled. Scenic drive along the Indus River.
Complete the journey back to Islamabad by road. Evening rest and final dinner.
Relax or explore Islamabad city, shopping for souvenirs and visiting local attractions if time allows.
Transfer to Islamabad airport for your international flight. End of the expedition with unforgettable memories.
